Hooligans in Honolulu Tour
For this project, I was tasked with designing a concert poster that would generate excitement and drive ticket sales for a chosen artist. I chose Bruno Mars and set the concert in Honolulu, Hawaii, his birthplace, to ground the design with local energy. The tour title, “Hooligans in Honolulu,” is a playful homage to his debut album Doo-Wops & Hooligans, connecting his musical success to a homecoming celebration.
The final poster combines retro pop-art influences with tropical Hawaiian motifs such as colorful hibiscus flowers, a tiki sign for bold typography, and even a vibrant ocean wave in the shape of the Doo-Wops & Hooligans album cover. The overall goal was to create a design that feels both nostalgic and electric, with the attempt to capture the spirit of a lively island concert.
